Phil Neville says he’s”100 percent happy” because England Women’s boss despite connections into the United States Women’s vacancy.
Ahead of Tuesday’s 2-1 friendly defeat from Bergen to Norway, it had been reported Neville was the number one goal of world champions.
However, when asked about the rumours after the match, Neville – who is defined to be in charge of a Great Britain team in the summer’s Tokyo Olympics – said:”I’ve been connected with lots of jobs since becoming England manager and that is because my players have been so great.
“I’ve mentioned before, I really like the job I am doing, it’s a huge challenge.
“The players have been going in the perfect direction and I get endorsed unbelievably by the FA. So I am 100 per cent happy.”
England’s defeat to Norway currently means the Lionesses have gone four games without a win since their 3-0 World Cup quarter-final victory.
During Tuesday’s game, the Football Association also announced the fixture will be a friendly against Brazil at Middlesbrough’s Riverside Stadium on October 5.
And Neville said:”We’ve got another game then that we’ll announce shortly, and I’ve said to them we must win both games. We have to start winning games again and playing .”
